Dr Anthony Fauci emphatically rejected The Loser Donald Trump’s statement yesterday that the COVID numbers in the US are exaggerated. He said, “We have well over 300,000 deaths, we’re averaging 2,000 to 3,000 deaths per day … All you need to do … is go into the trenches, go into the hospitals, go into the intensive care units and see what is happening. Those are real numbers, real people and real deaths.”

Why are we STILL talking about this?

Months and months ago, a video by former Fox News loudmouth Todd Starnes outside Brooklyn Hospital kicked off a theory that hospitals are empty, and that pandemic numbers such as those cited by Fauci are fake, and part of some ‘sinister government plot’. The next day, a different video of the same hospital showed bodies being stacked into a refrigerated morgue truck, independently confirmed by New York City Council as legit. But the dunces had their ‘evidence’ and they ran with it.

They’re still running. We’re told not to discount conservatives as stupid people. I’m not sure why, perhaps out of charity. But these #FilmYourHospital ‘citizen reporters’ are either stupid or they’re liars. The fact these ‘truthers’ are sometimes medical personnel within ’empty’ hospital only shows they don’t read their emails. I don’t actually believe this — more likely they reject those emails due to an irrational anti-government bias.

The simple fact is that most hospitals cancelled elective and non-urgent surgeries and procedures. The simple fact is some hospitals are busier than others with COVID. Two provable explanations, instead we got #plandemic? FML. If it was just stupidity, we’d herd ’em up and pasture them out. But not all conservatives are stupid or even wilfully blind. Some knowingly promoting lies. But why? What’s THEIR hidden agenda?

Conservatives understand the power of bullshit. Paint a tiny moustache on The Loser Donald Trump’s perpetually quivering upper lip, and the point is made. I’ll link here to a summary of Joseph Goebbel’s principals of propaganda, even though he wasn’t the guy who said “If a lie is only printed often enough, it becomes a quasi-truth, and if such a truth is repeated often enough, it becomes an article of belief, a dogma, and men will die for it.

The probable author of that quote was Isa Blagden from ‘The Crown of a Life‘ (1869), but again attribute it to Goebbels if you prefer. If it warms your little Nazi heart to believe Fauci is exaggerating, that “they” created a fake pandemic to empty hospitals ahead of their real agenda, then simper and stew on it. I don’t care if you are perpetually wrong. Belief in your own lies — be they political, religious or otherwise — is and always has been axiomatic to conservatism.
