Much has been written about Putin outmanoeuvring Trump in Alaska; but I think the summit wasn’t a complete flop, given how it underscores everything I said in 2022 (Better Red than Dead) and in countless subsequent posts.
tl:dr
The overhyped threat: Putin won’t stop until he gets everything he wants.
He will feed human bodies into the grinder until all the “primary causes” on his checklist are checked.

First the strategic mastermind Putin gets the US out of his way.
He does this by ‘assisting’ a supine quisling into a presidential second-term, neutering the US war machine through kompromat he’s held on Donald since the late ’80’s.
Trump’s inane posturing doesn’t fool anyone: The servant/master relationship was evident on the tarmac at Anchorage. All the liberals cheer: POTUS is Putin’s bitch.

Next on Putin’s chessboard is a bold advance: with the US docile, Vladimir recommences his 2014 invasion of Europe and his dream of Novorossiya — ancient Rus.
Putin uses the old “protecting pro-Russian separatists” excuse to mount false-flag ‘special military operations’ in Ukraine, just as he has done throughout his regime.
We highlight over and over again Putin’s desire to overturn the NATO cordon sanitaire against Russia and transform the limitrophe states into the killing fields of WWIII (exclamation mark, exclamation mark)!
Like, dude, we’ve been talking about this for forever!

Putin’s invasion of Ukraine forbodes his broader imperialist ambition — the Third Russian Empire — hence, his nervous nanny neighbours scramble to make their Russian borders as prickly as possible.
At risk of dumbing-down even more, how many hobbitses suddenly felt the Eye of Sauron upon them?

When he finishes ‘denazifying’ Ukraine and picking of the low-hanging fruit (Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, etc.,) how many suspect the Eye will shift to key nations, and that Poland or Finland will be next?
For countries under the baleful glare of the Grey Cardinal, membership of NATO has become a Damoclean sword. Who might be ‘denazified’ next?

Historians will point solemnly to the dirty pact between the Soviets and Nazi Germany at the start of the war — it was only after the backstab (Op Barbarossa) that Russia unfriended the Nazis.
Prior to that they were besties plotting to carve up Europe between them. So who are Putin’s besties now? What ulterior motive might the war serve for them?
Here I’m not only thinking about Trump, timing his tariff-nonsense to distract Europe from the war, but also the barking-mad nations queuing up to join the Red Team.

There is a potentially vaster threat in the shadows here. Because unlike the rogue actors maneuvering unseen in the shadows, Putin has a semi-legitimate excuse.
Shocking, right?
If that’s your gut reaction, then you haven’t heard of the ‘Monroe Doctrine’ by which the US wage illegal wars to overthrow the governments of sovereign nations to install puppets favourable to US interests.

Fearmongering aside, Putin won’t invade Europe — alarmist hyperbole — when it can’t even take all of Ukraine.
There is no “new Yalta” for Putin. Setting a single jackboot across the border of any NATO country would invite Russia’s utter obliteration. Germany could almost do it alone. Germany and France together would would send Russia back to the Stone Age.
Now, Europe will spend €800 billion on rearming them against the red menace. Their vassalage to America is over, thanks to Donny.

But you have to wonder why the West perpetuates the lies about Putin’s so-called imperialistic ambition. Who does the wilful blindness benefit? Because amidst all the fearmongering is one truth:
The Eye of Sauron is watching.
“across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.” H.G. Wells, 1898.
