So when does the hillbilly speak the truth? How much of it is scripted by sugardaddy Thiel? Was he ewven truthful in his memoir about life in the holler with his Mamaw? Surely the most genuine thing about JD Vance was his smug bildungsroman?
Fellow Appalachians describe him as an ‘empty suit‘, and we all recall how he described his boss as “America’s Hitler” yet now he leads the Trumpist cheer squad.

Which begs the question, what if Trump is the strawman and Vance is actually the guy “they” want to lead America into the future? What did his meeting with the neo-Nazis in February signal?
